When a donor chooses to cover fees, Village adjusts in real time to account for unexpected payment processing costs. Any overage goes straight to the project. If the processing fees are higher than expected, we absorb the difference. The result? Clear, predictable contributions that build donor trust.

How do I get started?You can register your organization right away and begin setting up your account. During the registration process, we’ll send a verification code to the email address or physical address listed with your country’s government body. You can set up communities and projects immediately, but to start accepting donations, you’ll need to enter the verification code. It’s a simple step to ensure transparency and trust for everyone involved.

Does Village restrict features with different plans?Not at all. Every organization gets access to the full suite of Village features—unlimited communities, projects, and updates, plus automated tax receipts, PCI DSS compliance, and more. We believe every nonprofit deserves the best tools, no matter their size.

What Payment Processor does Village use?Village uses Stripe, a secure and trusted payment processor, to handle all transactions. Stripe ensures that your donors’ payments are processed quickly and securely. We’re in the process of adding more payment processors as well.

Can Village handle tax receipts?If you want us to! Village can automatically generate annual tax receipts for your donors, saving you time and ensuring compliance. It’s one less thing for your team to worry about.
